Located 8 kilometers away from \u00dcvezp\u0131nar Village in the Thermal district, Sud\u00fc\u015fen Waterfall and its surroundings offer a magnificent spectacle for nature enthusiasts. THE BLACK CHURCH<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The historic Black Church, located in \u00c7iftlikk\u00f6y, which is 3 km away from Yalova, is a well-known symbol in the region. Built from brick, the church is believed to have been constructed during the early Byzantine period, according to historical sources. It is designed in the shape of a cross with a spacious entrance and features barrel vaults. The structure was initially a bathhouse in the 6th century AD and later repurposed as a church in the 8th and 9th centuries AD. While traditional churches are oriented in the east-west direction, the Black Church extends in the north-south direction. The length of the church is 13 meters, and its width is 10 meters. The church's dome has a diameter of 5.5 meters and features an octagonal drum with eight windows. Although the building, located in an ancient city, has not survived in its entirety to the present day, it remains an important part of our historical heritage that allows us to sense the historical ambiance.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Located in the heart of Yalova, the historic R\u00fcstem Pasha Mosque stands at the intersection of the street that bears its name. According to historical records, it is known to have been commissioned by R\u00fcstem Pasha, one of the most prominent viziers of the Ottoman Empire, who served under the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. This mosque, believed to have been constructed between 1500 and 1561, includes a complex comprising a mosque, a bathhouse, and various other structures, and it was designed and built by the renowned Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The historic Kur\u015funlu Bathhouse, located in the Thermal district of Yalova, which is known as one of Turkey's most famous thermal destinations, also finds its place in our list of historical sites in Yalova. Built 18 centuries ago at the request of Emperor Justinian during the Byzantine era, the bathhouse unfortunately collapsed due to disasters of that time. However, in the year 1900, it was restored by the prominent Ottoman ruler, Sultan Abd\u00fclhamid II, and was able to be reintroduced into our culture.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Located in the Alt\u0131nova district, the Hersekzade Ahmed Pasha Mosque was constructed in the 17th century during the Ottoman era. It was built in the name of Hersekzade Ahmed Pasha, a renowned Grand Vizier of the time who is believed to have been born in 1548 and was originally from Bosnia-Herzegovina. The mosque boasts some of the finest examples of cut stone craftsmanship. Hersekzade Ahmed Pasha, who oversaw the construction of numerous structures from the port to the madrasa in the Izmit and Yalova areas, is still remembered today for his significant architectural contributions, with the mosque being one of the important landmarks he brought to Yalova.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Located in the Thermal district of Yalova province, Atat\u00fcrk Pavilion is situated 16 kilometers away from the city center. Built in 1929, the entire pavilion is made of wood. It holds great historical significance because it hosted Mustafa Kemal Atat\u00fcrk and the Shah of Iran, which adds to its historical importance. The pavilion consists of two floors, with 11 rooms and 3 ceremonial halls. Both its intricate carvings and interior decoration have been meticulously crafted. Atat\u00fcrk Pavilion is an indispensable historical gem for visitors to Yalova. Furthermore, it is significant for hosting the establishment of institutions such as the Turkish Language Association and the Turkish Historical Society.
